  • Set up both coach and coachee for successful outcomes consistently

TARGET AUDIENCE
This program is designed for managers and leaders who wish to implement coaching and mentoring competencies to develop talent and enhance performance across all levels of their organization.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY
The course follows a practical, results-driven approach based on adult learning principles. It combines short, engaging lectures with structured lessons from the training manual, dynamic PowerPoint presentations with videos, group discussions, action planning, and Q&A sessions. Activities include role-plays, scenarios, group and partner exercises, self-assessments, and presentations, all designed to reinforce learning in a collaborative and enjoyable environment. Pre- and post-course assessments will measure the effectiveness of the training.

Module 1 – “Amazing Alliances”

    • ABCs of successful coaching: Always Be Curious / Always Be Connecting
    • Identifying and adhering to the coaching agenda
    • The four pillars of co-active coaching
    • Understanding the GROW model and its distinction from Co-Active Coaching

Module 2 – How Coaching and Mentoring Work

  • Key Topics:
    • The coach as a partner in achieving personal and professional success
    • The 1:1 coaching process
    • Preparing for coaching sessions: responsibilities of both coach and coachee
    • Dynamics of a coaching session: the coach’s role in uncovering perspectives
    • Guiding coachees in decision-making, goal-setting, and balancing commitments

Module 3 – Coaching in Practice

  • Key Topics:
    • Setting expectations for both coach and coachee
    • Developing coaching programs and embedding coaching as an organizational policy
    • Holding employees accountable and securing commitment to coaching
    • Enhancing coaching communication skills
    • Building empathy and effectively responding to coachee challenges

Module 4 – Mentoring in Practice

    • Understanding mentorship: who should be mentored and how it differs from coaching
    • Setting clear expectations for mentors and mentees
    • Ensuring accountability and engagement in mentoring
    • Developing mentoring communication skills
    • Effectively addressing mentee issues

Module 5 – Implementing Coaching and Mentoring Policies

    • Training coaches and formalizing coaching as an organizational policy
    • Designing and communicating policies and processes for coaching and mentoring
    • Practical tips for implementing coaching and mentoring programs
    • Defining confidentiality between manager and coachee
    • Initiating and concluding coaching or mentoring agreements
